We really can't fault anything. The staff were amazing and what was most striking was the consistency of the service and the social and engaging skills of all the staff. We've never seen that before. I had very high expectations of The Montague on the Gardens but your goal of a guest's expectations being exceeded was certainly meet in every aspect when I stayed there for five days recently. From the minute I walked into the foyer, I knew I was in for a very special experience. The staff made me feel comfortable, relaxed and special. What more could one want? There were just so many pluses, but the things about the hotel that stood out for me were the furnishings, the location and the attention to detail, especially with the little things. The hotel was on a quiet street but just a short walk through the beautiful nearby park and you could be on a quick tube or bus ride into any part of bustling London. And as for the little things, just the fresh red carnation in the bathroom said it all.

Our recent stay at the Montague on the Gardens was very memorable. Neither of us have ever stayed at a hotel which exceeded our expectations in every way. Our welcome on arrival was truly amazing. Our room was larger than expected and very comfortable and quiet. All of the staff were polite, competent and warm in their welcome. We quickly felt at home and were sad to leave - feeling this really was a home away from home. Breakfast in the hotel was most enjoyable - the care taken to keep all food piping hot and very fresh was very noticeable (to a standard I haven't experienced before).

I didn't think it would be possible but your team managed to make my return visit even better than the first. From the first smiling face that greeted me in the lobby to last that helped me call a cab back to the airport, everyone worked together flawlessly to ensure London really felt like a second home.

We were looked after wonderfully from the time we entered the door until the time we left. Room was very comfortable, immaculately clean, quiet and roomy. A member of the concierge showed me around the hotel when I arrived including how to hook up to the Internet and even where the hairdryer was as it had been raining. Consequently I was able to relax immediately without the stress of having to work all of these things out from the book. Everyone from the receptionist, to the dining staff, to the concierge, to the housekeeping staff and the management welcomed us in a friendly, efficient but un-intruding manner. This hotel is also well placed for travelling around the city for both business and leisure. I travel frequently on business and have specific hotels I stay at in various cities. I have been looking for one in London for years without success - but I have now found it!

The Montague has been my regular London abode since 1997. I love the hotel and the staff. It is impressive that with the pace of life as it that there has been such retention of staff over that period. From Mustafa at the front through the rest of the staff everybody genuinely appears to enjoy working in the hotel and notably they enjoy working with each other. The restaurant, front desk and the bar are characterized by a sense of welcoming for guests. It’s been a pleasure to stay there over the years, and I have repeatedly been able to recommend the hotel to friends, acquaintances and colleagues.

I cannot emphasise enough how I enjoyed my stay at Montague on the Gardens. I found the staff friendly and happy; everyone always had a smile on his or her face. My room, too, was gorgeous; it was decorated so beautifully, and that shower! Wow. Wish I had that at home. I am going to do my best to make Montague on the Gardens my (and my husband's, if I can dislodge him from work) London "go to" place. I just have to write a best-seller so I can refill my coffers. Was recommended this hotel by a former colleague and am so glad that she did. We only stayed 1 night for my husband's 60th Birthday. I cannot praise the hotel staff enough, nothing was too much trouble and especially would single out the young lady who was working in the bar area, she was wonderful and we appreciated her very much. Although our room was somewhat on the compact size, it overlooked the gardens and our every need was thought off. We especially liked the 'Rain' shower! Breakfast was great and the choices were enough to suit everyone's appetite I should think. Tea was superb and I couldn't possibly eat it all, so a box was found for me to take away my uneaten cakes. All in all, a fabulous stay and if we can, we will certainly stay at The Montague again.”

As always your staff did an outstanding job, welcoming us back to the hotel, and making us feel like we were an extension of the family. I would like in particular to single out Lucia, who was the duty manager of the bar on both occasions we visited for lunch, and the restaurant over breakfast. She deserves the highest praise for the wonderful way she was able to integrate a high level of discrete caring service while projecting a sense of deep pride and joy in her work and warmth toward her customers. It was my wife's first visit to the Montague and she was thrilled in every way by the ambience, the service, the location. The late checkout was especially helpful, and made the long trip back to Australia that little bit easier.

Put in its basic terms, a hotel is really just a place for a bit of quiet and privacy where a traveler can catch a night’s sleep and feel secure. A welcoming room, clean bathroom and a comfortable bed are all that most people require. The Montague provides those accommodations in full measure – but so do many other hotels. What invariably makes the difference – at least in my experience – is the staff. My wife and I have stayed with you six times since our initial encounter. On each occasion, our arrival has felt like a homecoming. Your delightful staff – drawn from so many different national backgrounds and each with his or her uniquely engaging personality – invariably greet us as if we were members of the family. Indeed, many of them feel like family to us, and we always look forward to seeing them.

Our stay at the Montague was extremely enjoyable. This was due to the wonderfully attentive staff at the hotel. Absolutely everyone was exemplary and made us feel a welcomed guest.
We would like to take special note of the head concierge Mustafa. He was joyfully helpful in securing us dinner reservations and tickets at the philharmonic at a minute’s notice. He made us truly welcome and made us feel that nothing was out of the question for him to help us with. We would also like to acknowledge Everett. He took out time of his day to chat with us about the hotel chain and provided us with brochures about your other wonderful hotels around the world. He made some excellent recommendations for wine to have in the lounge. His attentiveness made us feel that the hotel truly wanted us to be comfortable and gave us that ‘personalised’ feeling. Every staff member that we came in to contact with were highly professional and personal. We will absolutely be staying at your hotel again next time we are in London. We have already recommended your hotel to a number of friends and colleagues. We will also be researching the other Red Carnation Hotels available when we go to other destinations around the world, simply based on the visit at The Montague.
