Category: Music & Theatre Dates: Thursday, 14 February 2013 to Monday, 25 February 2013 Two rarely performed works by Pina Bausch will be staged by Germany's Tanztheater Wuppertal at Sadler's Wells this February. Known as one of the most significant choreographers of the 21st century, Bausch's legacy will be celebrated by the dance company she founded with performances of her 1985 work Two Cigarettes in the Dark and the 2006 piece Vollmond. The first of these offers a powerful meditation on the monotony of life, while the second is known for its use in Pina, the 3D documentary film by Wim Wenders in which Bausch was set to participate at the time of her death. Tanztheater Wuppertal are returning to Sadler's Wells after a month-long sellout season of international co-productions that took place at this venue and the Barbican last year. People wishing to see the show can book a Bloomsbury Weekends package at The Montague on the Gardens Hotel and enjoy all the perks one would expect from a luxury London hotel experience. These include complimentary English breakfasts, afternoon tea and a bottle of Champagne on arrival, plus a late 18:00 departure time on the Sunday.
