Luxury London hotel guests will be able to learn more about the Dutch Golden Age by attending Vermeer and Music: The Art of Love and Leisure, a forthcoming National Gallery exhibition.

Exploring the musical pastimes of the Netherlands in the 17th century, the display features art from the renowned Vermeer and a number of his contemporaries that present depictions of people playing instruments.

In addition, guests will be able to see many of the rare musical instruments and songbooks of the era in person and can even attend live performances of authentic Dutch music from the time.

Running from June 26th to September 8th 2013, the exhibition explores why music was such a prominent theme of Dutch painting and the different ways in which this reflected on society.
