Category: Family Fun Dates: Monday, 01 January 0001 to Thursday, 30 January 2014 Christmas markets, a West End show and Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland have become staples for every festive holiday. This year, why not try some alternative London-based fun? Start by booking into the suitably festive Montague on the Gardens Hotel with the magical Montague Ski Lodge package. From November 20th until January 30th 2014, this special offer sees the Wood Deck transformed into a yuletide ski lodge, complete with bar, ski racks, fairylights and snowmen. Keep yourself occupied during the day with one of these alternative Crimbo activities before returning to sample vodkas, cream liqueurs and fine cuisine in the evenings. Harry Potter tours Muggle Tours have been guiding Harry Potter fans around London since the stories featuring the boy wizard first took off. Their enthusiastic guides have won particular acclaim for their festive tours of London and make a particular fuss of children. Continue the atmosphere of magic and wonderment by returning to the Montague Ski Lodge afterwards to thaw out with a hot chocolate. Walk with the animals With much of it situated outdoors, many people prefer to leave this zoo to the warmer months of the year. You won't want to this Christmas - London Zoo will be unveiling a very special programme of events, including yuletide craft activities, a wishing tree and gingerbread decorating. Don't miss out on an appearance from our favourite antlered animals - the reindeer. You can't take one home, unfortunately, but we do have our very own at the Montague Ski Lodge. Skiing While London is not exactly known for its powdery slopes, there are a few places on the edge of the capital where you can take the kids to indulge in this thrilling sport. There are dry slopes in Hemel Hempstead, Esher and Brentwood, which can all be reached within around half an hour if you travel by train. Once you're done on the slopes, return to the Montague Ski Lodge for some well-deserved apres ski.
