Halloween is just around the corner, so celebrate with something spooky this year and catch one of London's legendary Ghost Buses. Painted black and decked out with gothic additions, this is a Routemaster like no other.

Travel round the capital in the company of half a dozen actors and comedians, who will regale you with London's most gruesome tales.

Half fictitious, half real, the stories are spine-tingling and give you the perfect excuse to hold on tight.

Learn about the haunted vaults of the Bank of England, Sweeney Todd's throat-cutting antics and the many murders and executions that took place inside the Tower of London.

Booking is highly recommended for busy nights such as Halloween, but even if you're unprepared, it's worth turning up as there is often last-minute availability.

London's Ghost Bus tours depart from Northumberland Avenue off Trafalgar Square at 7:30pm and 9pm. The event is suitable for families, but not children under five years of age.
