Category: Art & Culture Dates: Friday, 21 March 2014 to Wednesday, 31 December 2014 A new exhibition taking place at the London, featuring the vehicles and toys of British super spy James Bond, will leave fans shaken and stirred, with many favourite four-wheelers featured. Bond in Motion showcases classic cars such as Goldinger's Aston Martin DB5, alongside their more up-to-date equivalents such as the emerald Jaguar XKR from Die Another Day, in a celebration of 007's love of speed, style and lots of gadgets. Other featured favourites heading to the London Film Museum in Covent Garden include the Rolls Royce Phantom III from Goldfinger, the Ford Mustang from Diamonds Are Forever and even the Lotus Esprit which handily doubles as a submarine. The exhibition is certainly aiming to please the car lovers first and foremost, but there are a number of other inclusions as well that die-hard Bond fans will no doubt appreciate. These include the original Parahawk paraglider/snowmobile hybrid that featured in a memorable chase sequence during The World is Not Enough, as well as the tuk-tuk that made for an amusing sequence during Octopussy. People looking to get behind the scenes a bit will be treated to a selection of scoreboards that map out a number of action scenes, taken from the entirety of the series' 23-strong catalogue of films. A collection of miniature models that were used for filming will also be available for viewing, and there will be photos and video footage from the movies to satisfy any lust to see the cars in action once again. Why not stay at a hotel that Bond himself would have considered? The Montague on the Gardens offers a complimentary bottle of Champagne upon arrival, free English breakfast for two and a 6pm checkout with the Bloomsbury Weekend offer. Just in case you have any more missions to complete on your final day in London, 007.
