No great hotel is complete without a proper bar, a place where you can while away the hours alone or in company, a place that changes its character as the day progresses, somewhere where the relaxed atmosphere and friendly and expert service makes you feel completely at home. The Terrace Bar at The Montague is just such an oasis, tucked snugly away from the city streets and overlooking the secluded tranquillity of the Bedford gardens.

Here you’ll find comfortable, quiet and cosy corners, a variety of bar snacks and meals, and a superb selection of the raw ingredients required by The Terrace Bar’s mixologist. To add an extra touch to the unique atmosphere, superb live entertainment is provided in the bar every Monday to Saturday evening from 7.00pm until 10.00pm.

The Terrace Bar opens up onto the Terrace, overlooking the immaculately tended private gardens of the Bedford Estate where you can enjoy a fabulous Al Fresco breakfast or lunch.

From 5pm every evening, the Terrace is transformed into our very own Cigar Lounge where you can enjoy cigars from our humidor which is stocked with a fabulous range - from Romeo Y Julieta Petit Coronas and Romeo Y Julieta Churchill, right up to a magnificent Cohiba Siglo VI.
