This May, a treat is in store for guests of luxury London hotel the Montague, as the City devotes its attention to its many galleries and museums.

A UK-wide celebration, Museums and Galleries Month is organised by registered charity, The Campaign for Museums.

First held in 2000 as a week-long event aimed at celebrating museums and recognising International Museums Day – which takes place in May – the event's success has seen it grow exponentially.

The theme in 2008 is Ideas and Innovation and there are more than 300 museums and galleries throughout London that patrons of luxury London hotel the Montague can look forward to visiting during this period.
