Event: Eurobeat - Almost Eurovision at the Novello Theatre
Date: September 4th to November 15th 2008
A hilarious send-up of the Eurovision Song Contest will be taking place at the Novello Theatre in London this autumn.
Eurobeat - Almost Eurovision celebrates the sillier elements of the annual event with a night of over-the-top musical entertainment.
The show claims to be the world's first ever interactive musical. Members of the audience are invited to support one of the competing countries and even to vote for their favourites.
Located close to Covent Garden and Charing Cross, the Novello Theatre is easily reachable for those who have booked a suite at luxury hotel the Montague on the Gardens.
The theatre was reopened after refurbishment in 2005, having been built in 1905 - when it was known as the Waldorf. Franky Howerd, Jon Pertwee and Fred Astaire are among the wide range of stars to have trodden its boards.
Theatre-goers planning a trip to the Novello might also be interested in the Montague's It's Showtime package, which offers two tickets to the West End theatre of one's choice, subject to availability.
