Andrea Palladio: His Life and Legacy at the Royal Academy of Arts

Event: Andrea Palladio: His Life and Legacy
Date: January 31st until April 13th

The luxury London hotel the Montague on the Gardens is an example of majestic architecture set in a splendid city, and guests planning to stay between January 31st and April 13th can head to the Royal Academy to see an exhibition showing how the thinking of one man still permeates building design today.

Andrea Palladio's life came to an end in 1580 but his work and influence are still very much alive today.

The exhibition Andrea Palladio: His Life and Legacy, is the first showcase of its kind in London in 30 years and it will seek to display how the architect crafted a new language in building design, combining aesthetic beauty and functionality with breathtaking results.

His portfolio contains everything from churches to town palaces and country villas which laid the foundations for designers across the globe to create modern architecture.

A series of drawings, books, paintings, large-scale models and animations will tell the story of a man who has had a major influence on the world in which we live.

Visitors can go from admiring the exterior of buildings to marvelling at the inside by returning to the Montague on the Gardens and enjoying the perks provided by the Get More From Your Stay package.

A bottle of chilled champagne awaits, while there will also be traditional afternoon tea and a two-course dinner to enjoy on one evening, plus much more.
