Ron Arad is considered something of a maverick in the design world, with his infectious curiosity and sense of freedom often taking him in a different direction to his peers.

In the first major UK survey of the internationally-acclaimed designer, the Barbican Gallery is to host a brand new exhibition exploring his vision and how he has become one of the most influential creative individuals of his time.

Starting with his early post-punk approach of assembling products from readymade parts, the showcase will shed light on Arad's vision and what he believed modern, cutting-edge design is all about.

Experimentation has been extremely important throughout his career and guests staying at the luxury London hotel the Montague on the Gardens can learn all about him through special screenings, workshops and more.
