The streets of Brazil come to London in November when a hit dance show opens at the Peacock Theatre.

Bale de Rua, will be performed at the venue between November 2nd and 20th on the back of a successful worldwide tour that drew praise from critics.

The show offers a mix of African dance, capoeria, samba and hip-hop, with 15 dancers and two vocalists putting in a high-energy performance.

Its name literally translates as street ballet and the production has won the approval of the Scotsman, with a reviewer for the newspaper giving it five stars and describing it as "stunning", before adding: "If only I'd had sixth star at my disposal."

Brazil's history - dating back to its African origins - are explored during the dynamic dance, which has been choreographed by Marco Antonio Garcia and French director Paul Desveaux and is billed by the Peacock's website as "a sun-soaked spectacular".
