TERRACE AND WOOD DECK

The Terrace and Wood Deck is one of The Montague’s most popular features -  a secluded, quiet and private open-air space in the heart of the city, overlooking the sculptures in the gardens of the Bedford Estate.

Guests can enjoy relaxed al fresco lunches, dinners and traditional Afternoon Teas while sipping long cool Pimm's or sophisticated cocktails under the summer sun.


The Wood Deck

During the warmer months, the Wood Deck becomes especially lively with music and fun when the hotel hosts its regular series of spectacular barbecues that light up the summer.

From the end of May, the barbecue will be fired up every day for lunch and dinner (subject to availability) when you can sample a fine selection of meats, fish and burgers.

The Terrace

Each day al fresco breakfast and lunch is served on the Terrace which then transforms at 5pm into a gorgeous Cigar Lounge, featuring a superb range of Champagnes, cocktails and brandies, but more importantly a humidor stocked with a wide selection of cigars ranging from Romeo Y Julieta Petit Coronas and Romeo Y Julieta Churchill, right up to a magnificent Cohiba Siglo VI. 

(On occasion it is necessary to close our public areas to guests due to private functions taking place.  Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause you.)

Facilities

Layouts and styles vary, and we will do everything possible to accommodate you, however please find below a guide for numbers and styles:

• Reception / informal style barbecue with occasional seating - up to 200 people
• Lunch on the Terrace - one table - up to 24 people
• Lunch or dinner on the Wood Deck - individual tables - up to 28 people
