In what will surely come to be regarded as a highpoint in the museum’s illustrious history, from  13 September 2007, The British Museum is hosting The First Emperor, an insight into China’s First Emperor, Qin Shihuangdi. Exploring the world and legacy of the man who created the world’s oldest surviving political entity, this once-in-a-lifetime exhibition will showcase one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th Century.

This fascinating exhibition includes the world-famous terracotta warriors originally, buried alongside the First Emperor in readiness for the afterlife, as well as recent discoveries at this site.
