Babylon comes to Bloomsbury

For two thousand years the myth of Babylon has haunted the European imagination. The Tower of Babel and the Hanging Gardens, Belshazzar's Feast and the Fall of Babylon have inspired artists, writers, poets, philosophers and filmmakers.

Drawing on the combined holdings of its own collections, the Louvre in Paris, and the Vorderasiatisches Museum in Berlin, a new exhibition at the British Museum explores the continuing dialogue between the Babylon of our imagination and the historic evidence of one of the great cities of antiquity.

The Babylon exhibition runs from 13 November 2008 until 15 March 2009.

The London theatre scene draws visitors from across the globe. No stay in this spectacular city is complete without a ticket to a show. To which we'd add that no stay in London is as quietly memorable as the one you spend at The Montague.

If you want to experience the best of the West End's shows in one of the nicest of the city's hotels, you should snap up our It's Showtime offer.

Once you've chosen your room or suite, let us know what the top three shows are that you'd like to see. Bear in mind that there are no shows on Sunday and that some shows are sold out or have limited ticket availability. Whatever you choose, we'll do our best to get you what you want.

For a minimum two-person, two-night stay, we'll book you two tickets to one of your chosen shows, serve you pre-theatre table d'hôte dinner before the show, and save the coffee and desserts for when you return. The package includes:

Les Miz Kids Club at the Queen's theatre gives children a unique opportunity to enter the world of theatre, with a backstage tour, drama workshops and the opportunity to meet a cast member.
