DINING OUT

These are our favourite places to eat in the local area:

Hakkasan

In 2003, Hakkasan in Hanway Place, the original Hakkasan restaurant, was awarded a Michelin star which has been retained to date, and it continues to be placed at the forefront of modern Chinese cuisine.

L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon

L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon’s Japanese-inspired counter concept has won plaudits worldwide and modern French classics are prepared before your eyes.  A restaurant well worth visiting.

Goodman

The New York Steakhouse in Mayfair and the City.
Handcut steaks are cooked to perfection over charcoal – giving you the most tender, full flavoured steak in London!

Latium

A very smart, intimate restaurant that serves up modern Italian dishes with panache. Chef Patron, Maurizio Morelli along with London restaurateur, Claudio Pulze have taken classic methods and ingredients - plus a few non-traditional ones - and created a new and intriguing menu.

The Chicago Rib Shack is back as part of London life. The place has been lovingly restored and parts of it, such as the original Rib Shack metal sign, are still in use today. The light fittings are reclaimed from Smithfield Meat Market along with the meat hooks used to hang the pictures. The food is prepared using the original 25-year-old recipes and the meat is sourced from animals living on free-range farms. For families there is a great kids menu, which they can colour in as well. A definite must for your trip to London.

Tom Aikens Restaurant

An elegant, Michelin-starred restaurant – a firm favourite with celebrities and well-heeled locals.
A perfect place to enjoy a little part-time luxury - only the finest ingredients are used in an exquisite menu of full-flavoured French dishes.  The charming sommelier will guide you through the wine list, which features excellent wines from Bordeaux and Burgundy as well as some interesting New World options.

Tom’s Kitchen

In contrast to Tom Aikens Restaurant this all-day brasserie serves Anglo-French dishes, executed perfectly by Tom's head chef, Ollie Couillaud - the simple decor only further emphasises that the accent here is on straightforward, delicious food.

The Montague on the Gardens - Al Fresco Cigar Lounge

The Montague’s Al Fresco Cigar Lounge is one of the premier cigar havens in Bloomsbury.

Our outdoor terrace overlooking the secluded private gardens of the Bedford Estates is transformed each evening at 5pm and is the ideal setting to enjoy your cigar. The cigar lounge offers a spacious humidor cabinet with the best, the latest and the exotic from the cigar world. Sample our cigar and cognac menu and indulge in our exotic snack menu.
