New Apprenticeship programme across London hotels

The Red Carnation Hotel Collection is proud to announce the launch of a new apprenticeship programme across its six London hotels; The Milestone Hotel in Kensington, The Egerton House Hotel in Knightsbridge, The Chesterfield Mayfair, The Montague on the Gardens in Bloomsbury and Hotel 41 and The Rubens at the Palace in Belgravia.

Frequently recognised for its award-winning training and commitment to its staff, the luxury hotel collection has always supported apprenticeships and has been running a successful chef apprenticeship scheme for a number of years.

Since the launch of the new programme, which is being run in partnership with hospitality training experts Umbrella Training, Red Carnation Hotels has successfully enrolled 17 additional apprentices in various areas of the business ahead of the 2017 Apprenticeship Levy, and will continue to develop and roll out the scheme when the levy comes in to play in April 2017.

We’re excited to be launching this apprenticeship programme, in collaboration with Umbrella Training, across our London portfolio. It will help us to attract and develop young talented individuals that are looking to get a foot on the ladder in this industry, complementing our renowned existing training and further enriching progression opportunities for our employees,” commented Claire Golden, Director of Human Resources at Red Carnation Hotels.

The apprentice scheme is one of a number of initiatives that have seen the Red Carnation Hotel Collection globally acknowledged for its training and development. Red Carnation was the first company ever to achieve Gold Standard in Investors in People across its entire worldwide operations, is currently ranked number 3 in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For, and was awarded 2015 Human Resources Team of the Year at the Hotel Cateys, which are widely considered to be the ‘Oscars’ of the UK hospitality industry.
