Unlocking a secret garden
Hidden within the heart of London, behind discrete yet magnificent black iron gates embossed with the gilded Bedford crest, sits a magical garden, undiscovered and truly private. We have the keys to these gardens and we’re excited to show you around.
The Montague Street Gardens is officially opening its gates to weddings and civil partnerships. The gardens are a stone’s throw from the iconic British Museum (just a five-minute walk from Russell Square tube station), yet create the sense of an English country garden.
The space has a magical feel to it, characterised by its swirling garden paths and lush lawns which are overhung by mature trees. The gardens benefit from immaculate daily upkeep by the Bedford Estates’ gardeners and even have their very own bee hives.
The gardens can hold a maximum of 250 for a standing reception and between 180 and 200 for a seated dinner.
The gardens are available for hire throughout the year. Hires can be taken on any day of the week and parties can continue until 10.30pm within the gardens.
The venue is £15,000 + VAT to hire consisting of a one-day event with one day for set up and one day for break down. Longer events are considered on a case by case basis.
